How It Works

Autogenic training is a gentle method for working with the nervous system to alleviate anxiety, blockages, and chronic stress and promote feelings of calm and relaxation.

The nervous system learns and unlearns differently than the mind. In autogenic training, we combine mental power and profound relaxation to create fertile ground for transformation. Throughout the session, you will be guided through a body scan and a series of mental exercises designed to promote a deep state of calm. Focusing on specific phrases and visualizations, you will gradually enter a state of subconscious awareness and tranquility.

The nervous system plays a crucial role in our body's response to environmental changes, working with the endocrine system to control our flight-or-fight response. Changing patterns ingrained in the nervous system over an extended period requires more than willpower or the absence of triggering stimuli. Since the nervous system reacts to experience rather than reason, relaxation becomes the key to opening oneself to new feelings and the possibility of lasting change.
